Three Hundred miles south of San Antonio is where we lay our heads
tonight. We are now in the Rio Grande Valley
at the Elks Lodge in Harlingen
Texas. We plan on staying 3 or 4
nights, tomorrow we are going across the border to Nuevo Progreso Mexico, Saturday
we have grooming appointments for the girls at the Petsmart here in Harlingen
and we also want to visit South Padre Island while here.
Our parking spot here at the Elks lodge has 30 amp electric
service and water for a donation of $8.00 a night, that’s a pretty good deal. The
Lodge looks to us to be in a safe neighborhood. We have a river behind us and
the lodge building between us and the highway so it’s quiet and secluded. There
are two other RV’s visiting here, I have met one of them, they are from Colorado Springs.
